Ronan Wiseman

A graduate of Adelphi University, where he earned a BBA in Business Finance and MS in Banking and Money Management., Mr. Wiseman captained the soccer team through the school's most successful years, including an appearance in the Elite Eight stage of the NCAA Tournament.

Mr. Wiseman went on to play professionally in the North East Professional Super League, the Hellenic Professional Soccer League, and the United Soccer League (USL). 

He completed his professional playing career with the Long Island Rough Riders, eventually moving from the pitch to the technical area, as head coach of the USL “A” League side

Mr. Wiseman has also had successful coaching stints at several nationally acclaimed collegiate programs, including Hofstra University, Long Island University, the United States Merchant Marine Academy, as well as his alma mater, Adelphi University. 

While coaching at Adelphi University, he worked as a United States Soccer Federation (USSF) Region 1 Staff Evaluator identifying and selecting elite youth soccer players for the USSF National Team Program.

Mr. Wiseman holds the prestigious USSF "A" License, is CPR and AED certified, and is a member of both United Soccer Coaches and the United States Soccer Coaches Organization. 

Currently he is the Director of Training for East Islip Soccer Club where he oversees the training staff from U5 up to the Academy level.  He trains the Intramural and Pre- Academy athletes on a weekly basis as well.  

As the Technical Director for the Long Island Junior Soccer League (LIJ), one of the largest youth leagues in the United States, with 60,000 registered youth players, he is responsible for the league’s technical direction and player development pathways. Mr. Wiseman, in his role as the Director of the Leagues’ Player Development Program (PDP), maintains direct responsibility for all aspects of the program, including coaching selection, curriculum, player and parent college guidance and player development opportunities in the greater Long Island soccer landscape.

Ben Diallo

A native of Guinea, West Africa, Ben Diallo is a former college and professional player. During his career at Dowling, he won the NYCAC and made the NCAA tournament every year including the first ever for the school. He garnered many school, conference and regional honors along the way before moving on to play professionally for the Long Island Rough Riders in the A-league. Ben's been training/coaching teams in the Bayport and East Islip. He coached PDP last year and recently became certified in CPR/AED.

Brian McAughey

Brian McAughey brings over 30 years experience as a youth soccer coach in both England and USA. Brian’s coaching qualifications include the UEFA ‘A’ License, NSCAA Premier Diploma and the Advanced Director Of Coaching Diploma.

Prior to moving to Long Island, Brian’s coaching positions included:

- Youth Academy Director for Sheffield Wednesday FC
- Coach Educator The English FA
- Staff Coach Football Association of Wales / Head Coach GU16 National Team
- Head Coach Leeds United Ladies FC
- Head Coach Doncaster Rovers Belles

On Long Island, Brian has worked with select and premier teams from Massapequa, Farmingdale, Rockville Centre and East Islip. He has also worked with LIJSL Select and ENYYSA ODP. 

Having previously worked with a number of EI players who have gone on to play in college, Brian is excited to be returning to East Islip SC and is looking forward to continuing the development of the 06/07 Scorpions

CHRIS SCHMIDT

Chris Schmidt has been a member of the LIJSL PDP Program since 2006. He has trained in numerous programs and clubs across Long Island, including as a past member of the New York Red Bulls training programs.

Chris is positive, energetic, and seeks to get the very best out of his players on and off the field. He is the owner of NSCAA National and Advanced National Coaching diplomas, and he is CPR/AED Certified.

Davide Somma

Davide Somma is a recently retired pro football player. He played 1 year at Tyler Junior College in Tyler, Texas, where he is now in the Hall of Fame. His professional career started when he went to an EduKick camp in Spain after his freshman year of college. From there he signed at Logroñes for one year. Following that he played in Italy for 4 years. First he signed with Perugia (Seria B), next he played for Pro Vasto (Seria C), then played at Olbia (Seria C) for 2 years. He then returned to the US and played for the San Jose Earthquakes (MLS) for a year. Davide then went on a tryout with Leeds United. He signed a 6 month developmental contract and went on loan to Chesterfield and then Lincoln. In his time at Lincoln he saved the team from relegation and they remained in League 2. He went back to Leeds United where he signed a 3 year contract. He played 33 games and had 12 goals. Some of those appearances were against teams such as Chelsea, Tottenham, Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester United. Davide also played for the South Africa National Team 3 times and scored 1 goal against Kenya. South Africa played the USA where Davide received Man of the Match.
During training, Davide got tackled by one of his teammates and tore his ACL. After years of rehab and surgeries he was no longer the player he was prior to injury and had to retire. Now he trains youth teams on Long Island and aspires to share his passion and experience with the youth.

Eugene Gozley

Eugene Gozley brings 25 years of expertise in the training and coaching disciplines of soccer. He has owned and operated two successful soccer training companies.  He is a licensed trainer and founder of the Long Beach Recreation special needs program. He has coached at the youth, high school, and collegiate level. Gozley was drafted professionally by the Fort Wayne Flames (AISA). During his collegiate career at Binghamton University, he was awarded the honor of Top Collegiate Player, Most Valuable Rookie, and MVP. He was also selected for the Collegiate Senior Bowl while captain at Binghamton University. Gozley is also a personal trainer for both high school and college athletes. Eugene resides in Barnum Isle with his lovely wife and beautiful daughter.

KARIM DIALLO

Coach Karim has worked with the girls in Intramurals and Pre Academy and he is looking forward to bringing his experience to help them reach the next level in their development.  He formerly coached the East Islip Red Storm and he currently has three of those players on his college team roster and each have made big contributions to the team's success in the Fall. https://nyitbears.com/staff-directory/karim-diallo/64

Kevin Doherty

After playing four years at LIU, C.W. Post campus, Kevin graduates with his B.S. in Physical Education. His playing career includes the Long Island Rough Riders in the A-league, Long Island Stars in the Cosmopolitan League and West Chester Flames. Kevin's coaching career started in his hometown in Ireland, where he coached in the youth program. Since 1994 he has coached for a number of soccer clubs including Albertson and Massapequa and has been a staff coach for the LIJSL PDP program (formerly known as the ODP and Select Programs). Kevin holds his Advanced National License and is CPR/AED certified.

Rich Kloska

Kloska has coached boys' varsity soccer at Lindenhurst High School since 2003. He has been selected as a coach for the Exceptional HS Seniors games in 2010-2011, and led the Long Island Boys Scholastic team to a bronze medal finish at the 2010 Empire State Games. He is in his third year with the LIJSL Select Player Development Program. Kloska has visited and observed youth development training programs at Bayer Leverkusen, FC Cologne and Ajax. He currently holds USSF B and USSF Y licenses and is CPR/AED certified. In 2004 he received the Bob McNulty Award from the US Soccer Federation national coaching schools. He is a NSCAA Soccer Ambassador and a member of the SCSCA

Ryan Dunnan

To introduce myself, I am originally from England, and have been playing/coaching soccer for the majority of my life. I signed for English Professional club Halifax Town FC & was their for nearly 3 Years, signing YTS forms during that time. After Leaving Halifax Town FC, I went to Oldham Athletic FC  for a short time before Signing for Scarborough FC. Since Leaving Scarborough FC, I went onto play Non - League Football with various Clubs such as Lancaster City, Rossendale United and Others. 
After turning my attentions to Coaching, I Passed my UEFA B Licence in November 2011, again taking the Course with the Professional Football Association in England (P.F.A.). I Passed my FA Youth Award Module 3 in May 2016 and completed my Full FA Youth Award in Sept 2016 with the P.F.A. Before moving to the United States I Coached at Blackburn Rovers FC Academy for 4 seasons working with various age groups, many of which were competition winners.

I believe with hard work and determination , the opportunities for youth players are limitless. 

I look forward to sharing my knowledge and coaching philosophy with the players, as well as aiming to develop all aspects of their games (technical / psychological / physical / social).

Scott Scelsa

Scelsa has been a coach in the LIJSL ODP Program since 2007. His vast coaching experience includes training numerous youth teams across Long Island. He has also been an assistant coach for the Brooklyn Knights BU15 Team who made it to the Super Y league National Finals. He currently holds his NSCAA National and Advanced National Diplomas and is CPR/AED certified. He is a product of the Massapequa Soccer Club and Massapequa HS, as well as being a LIJSL Select player in the 1980's.

Tracy Soldano

Tracy enters her third season as a trainer at East Islip Soccer Club. She currently is the head trainer for the U9 Wildcats, assists with the U13 Revolution, and trains intertown and intramural teams.  She has her National Youth License, National Diploma, Goalkeeping Level I Diploma, Special Topics Diploma on Reading the Game, Healthy Habits Certificate, Concussion Certificate, Constructive Soccer-Principles of Play Certificate, NSCAA Level 6 diploma and USSF “F” diploma.  She also has Section XI Certification in Philosophy Principles and Organization of Athletics, Theory and Techniques of Coaching and Health Science Applied to Coaching. Tracy is CPR, AED, and First Aid Certified.  She currently plays in the Long Island Ladies Soccer League.

Tracy is one of the women’s assistant coaches at Farmingdale State College.  After playing at St. Joseph’s College, she became an assistant women’s coach there.  Tracy formerly trained and coached in the Long Island Junior Select program and the Longwood Soccer Club. She was also assistant Varsity coach at Bayport Bluepoint School District, was head coach at Seneca Middle School.
